You can't just ski in Chile. You have to eat as well. And finding great food isn't always easy. But in Pucón there are some great spots. One of my favorite being Restaurante Trawen.
Typical Chilean fare isn't exactly French cuisine, if you know what I mean. But Chile has great agriculture, cattle and over 4000-miles of coastline – so it's definitely possible to eat well! Trawen in downtown Pucón is one place that understands good food. Not only is the food prepared well, with amazing flavor combinations and beautiful presentation, but the service is good, the people friendly and the location is easy to find. The beer and wine selection is excellent as well.
There are a bunch of great dining choices in Pucón. Pizzeria Cala is awesome. Naukana is special. Sabores de Chile is great for true Chilean dishes. But Trawen is the place I have to visit every time I go to Pucón, which is a lot.
At some point you're going to get hungry on your trip to Chile. If you're in Pucón and need a safe bet, Trawen is your place.
